      Itinerary

      • Day 1 – Dec 30 Marrakech - Atlas Mountains - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley

        About 6 hours of driving

Your New Year adventure starts with a morning departure from Marrakech. You'll cross the High Atlas Mountains over the Tizi n'Tichka pass, winding past kasbahs and Berber villages, with stops for photos, a stretch and a coffee. Next comes the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for classics like Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

After lunch at a local café, you'll continue toward the Dades Valley through Ouarzazate, the Skoura oasis and Kelaa M'Gouna, capital of the Valley of Roses. You'll reach the Dades Valley in the evening and spend the night there.

      • Day 2 – Dec 31 (New Year's Eve) Dades Valley - Tinghir - Erfoud - Merzouga

        About 4 hours of driving

After a hearty traditional breakfast, you'll follow the Road of 1001 Kasbahs to the Tinghir oasis and the dramatic Todra Gorges, with their towering rock walls. Then it's on to the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga.

On arrival, you'll ride a camel at sunset to your Superior Camp, with a private tent and en-suite bathroom. There we'll say goodbye to the year with a New Year's Eve dinner, Berber drums and a bonfire, and welcome the New Year under one of the most star-filled skies on Earth. 🎉

      • Day 3 – Jan 1 (New Year's Day) Merzouga – Erfoud – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

        About 9 hours of driving

Start the year watching the first sunrise of 2027 over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast, you'll ride your camel back to meet the driver and head back to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and the High Atlas. Arrival in Marrakech in the evening (from 7:00 pm).
