At 8:00 a.m., we begin our 3-day private excursion from Fez to Marrakech through the Sahara Desert. We depart towards Midelt, through the Atlas Mountains and the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas. We pass through Ifrane, a charming ski resort, and Azrou, a significant craft center specializing in cedar woodwork. Later, we arrive in Midelt for lunch. In the afternoon, we will head to Erfoud and venture into the desert.
Upon reaching Merzouga, we will engage in one of the most significant activities of the desert tour, a camel ride through the beautiful dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will spend the night at a desert camp. You will indulge in a delicious Berber dinner and sleep in a traditional nomadic tent or under the stars.
On the second day of the Fes to Marrakech desert excursion, we will wake up to capture stunning sunrise photos and enjoy an outdoor breakfast. We return to the hotel on camels for a shower. Then, we set off towards Erfoud, known for its fossil preparation. We drive through Palm Grove, stopping for lunch. Afterward, we take a short walk through the Todra Gorges. We then head to our stopping point, the Dades Gorges. Dinner and accommodation will be provided at the hotel.
After breakfast, we will take a short walk through the gorges before continuing our 3-day desert excursion from Fes to Marrakech. We will follow the Dades Valley through El Kelaa M'Gouna, known as the Valley of Roses and the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.
We will visit Ouarzazate, where we will stop for lunch in the village of Ait Benhaddou. We will have time to explore the famous UNESCO-protected site that has served as a backdrop for numerous films, including Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and more. We will then drive through the Tichka Pass to reach Marrakech.
Your 3-day desert excursion from Fez to Merzouga will conclude in the afternoon in Marrakech.
