Our shared one-day excursion from Marrakech to Essaouira starts around 8:00 am from your accommodation (or nearest car accessible point nearby your Riad). On the group excursion's way, you will cross the Argan forest, where you might see some goats climbing the trees. Don't forget to take some pictures before continuing towards Essaouira.
To see how Argan oil is extracted (also called liquid gold or Moroccan oil), we will visit a local cooperative of women to learn how they locally manufacture some fine cosmetic products with the rich Argan oil. This is a step-by-step excursion to the castle of Skala, which was a citadel during times of war, and to the fishing port.
Next, you will be able to explore the ancient city walls that still stand after hundreds of years, alongside the souks (bazaars). Additionally, you will visit the beautiful Moulay El Hassan square, and the old medina (UNESCO World Heritage site).
